 Hard Truths

I'm reading this at the moment. Not because I am into political issue, but because this man, our Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, had made many, including myself, to shed tears at the passing of his beloved wife not too long ago. I feel that as "hard and strong" as a man he is, there is something about him that I would love to know. And with the releasing of this book, I am beginning to understand him better and the immeasurable effort that he put into bringing Singapore to where she is standing now. Who would have known that the greatest love story in Singapore would be that of our famous politician and most respectable leader? When I saw MM Lee kissed his wife goodbye at the final moment, it evoked so much of pain and a rush of indescribable feelings in me. There was something so heartbreaking and profoundly touching about that scene that made me choked to tears. I wasn't able to control my emotion.
Of course I do  not know Mrs Lee personally, but as a discerning adults, I believe most of us would understand that it is usually only after one's departure that people will take time to cherish and honor them in such a manner . The part that has pierced me right thru my heart were the eulogies that were crafted and delivered by her loved ones.

"Without her, I would be a different man, with a different life. She devoted herself to our children and me. She was always there when I needed her. She has lived a life full of warmth and meaning.  I should find solace in her 89 years of life well lived. But at this moment of the final parting, my heart is heavy with sorrow and grief."

It takes a woman like Mrs Lee to deserve such a farewell, but it also took a man like Mr Lee to acknowledge the significance that she had played in his life. Because of them, I have newfound respect for life and a word called LOVE.

Thanks for Reading....
Have a great Wednesday evening everyone...

Great Temptation...
I just couldn't stop myself but have to take each of these Yummy Delicious latest collection from Teresa Collins...
Look.......

and these.....

My dearest husband was so patient with me when I was selecting these papers. He even commented that the papers are nice. How sweet of him....Like Duh ?&*%$@# it's so difficult to hear those words from him.lol. Sometimes I just can't understand man. Anyways, that's a different story altogether. Just like a little girl in a candy shop. Yup i couldn't resist the temptation, so i bought all of Teresa's collection that was on the shelf. I couldn't buy the embellishment yet coz it was still in the carton. I did peep into the box and saw the yummy goodies to go along with the papers, but the salesgirl there said 'No....no.... not yet not yet!" and i was like ok... ok relax....i'm just seeing. hahaha I thought that was so funny of her. She got panicked but me..i got that adrenaline rush.
Less than 24 hours i made these from the papers i bought. Not all of it though, but just a piece. I am so in love with the papers.... so to do a page layout, will have to wait sometime. I did these instead. I have been having these caps from Maya Road for the longest time ever and finally decided on these..

and also this....

Aren't they lovely...?
hmm.... now that I've done these, I will use it as a decorative elements for my house.....
Will post again when I've decided where I will place them..
I was thinking of doing a journal on myself for quite sometime. I'm not sure if I can write my thoughts in it everyday so i was kind of drop the idea altogether. But lately, those thoughts came back and i finally decided to start something. I was thinking of writing on myself..like some motivational quotes, or the happenings in my daily life. People or things that motivates me, that makes me happy, angry or even sad. I have decided to start writing in March coz so happen my birthday is in that month. I won't be writing on a daily basis but at least I will write something in it. Let's see if i can accomplish this. But for a start, I definitely have done something to get me going... I did the front cover of my journal...
it reads...
my STORY...

I will be adding the pages inside as i get going. I will randomly share with you some of my entries i hope... Will have to also complete the back cover soon.

Thanks for coming
Have a lovely Saturday

From an email
that I received.... Gabriel Garcia Marquez, great Latin American writer, has said goodbye to the public life due to complications in his health, lymphatic cancer. He has sent a letter to his friends; and thanks to the Internet, we are able to share it. I recommend you to continue reading, because this short text written by one of the most brilliant Latin American of the past years is really inspiring. Here are some of the text I extracted from my email. Here's his thoughts:
Enjoy reading.....
1) I would probably not say everything I think but definitely think all I say
2) I would value things not for what they are worth, but for what they represent
3) I would prove to men how wrong they are to think that they stop falling in love as they get older, since they actually start getting older as soon as they stop falling in love
4) I would give wings to the children, but I would leave the children alone so that he could learn how to fly on his own
5) To the old, I would show them how death comes not with the ageing process but with forgetting.
So many things I have learnt from you.....
I have learned that everybody wants to live on top of the mountain, forgetting that how we climb is all that matters.
I have learned that a man has the right to look down on somebody only when he is helping him to get up.
I have learned that when a newborn grabs his mother's thumb, he takes a hold on her forever.
Always tell, what you feel and do what you think.
If I knew that today it would be the last time that I will see you, I will embrace you strongly to be the guardian of your soul.
If I knew that these would be the last minutes that I will see you, I would say to you, "I Love You" and wouldn't assume you know it.
There is always morning where life gives us another opportunity to make things good.
Keep always close to you, your dear ones, and tell them how much you need them and love and take care of them.
Take time to say "I am Sorry", "Forgive Me", "Thank You" and all the nice and lovely words you know.
Nobody would remember you if you keep your thoughts secret.
Force yourself to express them.
Thanks For Reading

These pages are for my niece, photos are of her sons taken about almost one and a half month ago when they came over to my place for visiting...

This layout I scraplifted from Julie's blog. You can find her at my sidebar. Thanks Julie, you are such an inspiration and will always be.

I did not want to waste the leftovers from the Imaginisce
patterned paper.. so i created a little card here..

I also like this pink card which i did. I thought the two birdies are kind of cute..
This is definitely for a girlfriend. Since Valentine's Day will be coming, I thought Saj might need this for her friend later on.

I just completed another 3 cards and will be posting soon.
Thanks for coming into my little cyber world..
In the meantime, hope your Thursday is doing you just fine.

Hello Hello....
How are you and how's your week been so far? I hope it's going just fine for you. Have been busy honestly but still managed to scrap. my first page for 2011 is about my girl. I scrapped about her most of the time indeed. I constantly remind her that she is important in my life and we can be more than just mother and daughter.... Here's one on her....picture was taken just before the New Year..

1 of a kind

Paper is from the Basic Grey Curio collection.
I wanted to keep it simple and I'm quite happy with what i did.
Some close up on the cut-outs...

I added some stickles to give the flowers some dimensions...
Simply love the pink and green against the black here.

Another page on my dearest husband...

Very vintagey indeed..
That's my DH spending his Sunday mornings reading the Sunday times.
A husband a dad... a man with a very simple needs in life. More often than not, we forgot how much he work to keep the family together. The effort and time he sacrifice for us to succeed, to give us the best in everything, the love and care he showered on us...it's immeasurable. So shall i say more...this page is dedicated for him...

I'm into this right now...
I get excited each time I completed one

Rolled flowers...
It's so easy and so pretty..

Oh yes, I'm happy to announced that my son is settling well in school. He made many new friends and are happy to go to school each day. No more teary eyes...sob sob...no more..
That's him on the first few days of school...

It's a bit blurred coz I was standing from a distance and it's taken from my mobile phone..
That was during his break in the canteen.

Ok that's all for now..
Hope your week is going well
